Resolved Question: Is there a way to get high speed internet?

I live like out in the boon docks and pretty much ll my family can get is either satellite (which we have, hughes net), or dial-up. Is there a way to convince somebody like comcast or verizon, opr any other high-speed internet providers, to provide high-speed internet? Or will they make it a soon for most people like me?
